This manuscript is a chapter in a forthcoming manual entitled "Research and Management Techniques for the Conservation of Sea Turtles" (Eds: Phillott A, Rees AF, Fuentes MMPB), which will be published by the IUCN SSC Marine Turtle Specialist Group. It has been peer-reviewed, but is being made available here while the rest of the manual is completed.
